els vandevorst wins lifetime achievement award at the septimius awards

On the seventh of June, N279 Entertainment producer Els Vandevorst accepted her Lifetime Achievement Award at the first annual Septimius Awards in Amsterdam.

martin koolhoven wins rutger hauer award

On the 1st of May 2022, Martin Koolhoven accepted the Rutger Hauer Award at the ninth Shortcutz Annual Awards. He was granted this award due to his large support to film talent development in the Netherlands.

Previous winners were director Paul Verhoeven and the NTR series Kort!, which has offered opportunities to young talents for two decades.

Quo vadis, aida? wins european film award

12/12/2021 - Last night, Jasmila Žbanić’ Quo Vadis, Aida? won the European Film Award for Best Film. Earlier this year, the film was nominated for the Oscar of Best International Feature.

brimstone WINT AWARD BEST WESTERN PICTURE in almeria

De film Brimstone van Martin Koolhoven heeft zaterdagavond de grote prijs van het Almería Western Filmfestival in Spanje gewonnen.

Schrijver en regisseur Koolhoven en producent Els Vandervorst kregen de prijs uitgereikt door actrice Claudia Cardinale.

"We worden nu al ruim twee jaar in de watten gelegd met allerlei prijzen, maar met deze gaan we wel full circle . Ik ben echt ongelooflijk trots", aldus Koolhoven.

On the 22nd of March the nominations for the Saturn Awards were announced. We’re very excited that Brimstone has been nominated in the category ‘Best International Film Release’. The winners of the 44th annual awards show will be announced by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films in June.

Brimstone heeft op 29 september tijdens de Gouden Kalveren maar liefst zes van de negen Gouden Kalveren nominaties kunnen verzilveren. De film won de prijs voor Beste Film, Beste Regie, Beste Camera, Beste Production Design, Beste Muziek en Beste Sound Design. Brimstone was ook genomineerd voor Beste Montage, Beste Vrouwelijke Bijrol en Beste scenario.

'THE SURPRISE' ON DUTCH TELEVISION TONIGHT

ELS VANDEVORST coproduceR 'Domino'

18/06/17 - N279 Entertainment is coproducing 'Domino', the new film directed by Brian de Palma. The Dutch actor Mohammed Azaay will play a key role in the film. Follow our news feed for regular updates on the film. 

BRIMSTONE SOLD TO MORE THEN 79 COUNTRIES

09/02/17 - The film has been sold to 79 countries at the moment. In addition to its US release Brimstone will be released in the UK, France, Germany, Russia, Japan, Australia, Greece, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa, Turkey, Poland, South Korea and Singapore.

GOLDEN FILM FOR BRIMSTONE 

28/01/17 - Yesterday Els Vandevorst and Martin Koolhoven were rewarded the Golden Film for the 100.000th visitor to Brimstone in the Netherlands! Martin also received the Golden Pen as the screenwriter of the film.  Find the Dutch press release below.

23/01/17 - Brimstone is in select theaters and available on demand from the 10th of March, 2017.

The film, from Dutch director Martin Koolhoven, co-stars not one, but two Game of Thrones stars: Kit Harington, aka Jon Snow himself, and the Red Woman Melisandre, aka Carice van Houten, who welcomed a Brimstone baby with Pearce last August: a son named Monte.

05/12/16  - We proudly present the official Dutch poster of Brimstone, designed by Studio Aliens. Their previous work contains the poster of The Neon Demon, Birdman and Gone Girl. Brimstone will be screening in Dutch cinemas in January, 2017. Paradiso Filmed Entertainment will distribute the film in the Netherlands and Belgium.
